Friday, March 8 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic~~1958 D3 Gillette Adjustable/Sharp Star~~Royall Muske You know what soap I used... The Fatboy was...well, Fatbulous. The Sharp Star was stellar. The Royall Muske was regal.
I leave tomorrow for a visit to the west coast of the USA. Little bro has a visiting professor gig in LA so LA and Las Vegas. I will post a picture of the new timepiece as well as my travel kit. But this is to celebrate my completion of the prior puck, TABAC!
Saturday, March 9 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson D3 SiLVERTiP~~Ralf Aust~~Dominica Bay Rum For a shaver, who doesn't pick up his straights as often as he perhaps should, today's shave was excellent. Keen edge; good prep and a light touch were the key factors. King of Bay Rums to complete this fine shave.
March 9, 2024 Supply Co SE Semogue C3 Galahad Schick Proline Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shave Soap Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Principe Real Aftershave Happy Saturday Everyone. A change of pace the Supply Co. SE. This razor is perfect for someone transitioning from cartridge razors. It is almost impossible to get a nick even while delivering a great shave. For this reason, it would also make a great travel razor. Maya is visiting for the weekend so we are looking forward to watching the University of Kentucky basketball game later this afternoon. Take care and have a great day.
Sunday, March 10 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson Emperor 3~~Feather AS-D2/Sharp Star~~C.O. Bigelow Bay Rum Sorry @clint64 I stole you SOTD model... My pictures have been fairly plebeian as of late. Not so, the shaves. Everything clicked today.
No worries at all. There are only so many ways to take a photo of a razor and brush. At least you picked what is one of my favorite razors

March 10, 2024 Supply Co V2 SS Matte Black with ●● plate Simpson CH2 Synthetic Schick Proline Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shave Soap Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Principe Real Aftershave March 11, 2024 Supply Co V2 SS Matte Black with ●● plate Alpha Outlaw Schick Proline Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shave Soap Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Chiado Aftershave Happy Monday. I missed posting yesterday so I thought I would catch up posting today. Thus far, I am averaging using just under 3 grams of soap per day. Given that rate I anticipate finishing the soap mid to late April. Take care and have a great day.
Monday, March 11 AoS Sandalwood~~Simpson Persian Jar 2~~Feather AS-D2/Sharp Star~~Arabian Oud Kashmir Making serious progress on this soap. Mos def® finished before the end of this month. Kept the same blade in the same razor as yesterday. Shaved like buttuh. (sic) Arabian Oud Kashmir is a glorious scent. Sadly discontinued and not to be confused with their Kashmir Musk. This is a stunning combination of Oud and Yuzu.
Day 70 (ish) Where to start... Firstly, my apologies for not posting these past 6 weeks or so. It was not intended and I should have reached out to my friends on here. We had a tough week or two as a family that I just didn't feel like posting during and then the time got away from me. We are okay now, no need to worry. No excuses, my bad. I know this thread is a 'drop in when you want' thread, but I very much value my time with my online friends here. Regardless, I will endeavour to be back amongst the participatory now. I've kept going with the Fine Platinum, short for a week away (unintended) that I used Palmolive for. I think I'm within a day or two of day 70. I can see about 1/2 the bottom of the tub. It continues to be a great focus. I've snapped a few pics along the way as I've cycled through fave razors...the floating head... the karve... the new lc...the monobilt. A great month of hardware and software both. A few pics: I will read the past several days, in hope that I am up on current events. Hopefully Charlie's jokes haven't been too bad in my absence...
Welcome back Jason. There is no need to apologize. We all understand life can interrupt posting on here.
March 12, 2024 Supply Co V2 SS Matte Black with ●● plate Rudy Vey Rover with Muhle XL STF Schick Proline Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Shave Soap Antiga Barbearia de Bairro Principe Real Aftershave Happy Tuesday. The first of several tax deadlines is this Friday. Yesterday was completely crazy and I anticipate more of the same each day this week. Last week, I sold 2 razors and decided to reward myself with a new brush. I ordered a Rover style brush from Rudy Vey. I decided to go with the Muhle XL STF knot. The brush arrived yesterday and given my complete lack of patience I used it this morning. Initial impressions are very good. I plan on using the brush a good bit over the next several weeks. Take care and have a great day.

Thank you Jason. I am sucker for the Rover style handles. Now that you mention it the knot is similar to the EVO. Perhaps it is a touch smaller.
Tuesday, March 12 AoS Sandalwood~~Semogue Mistura~~Feather AS-D2/Sharp Star~~Burt's Bees Bay Rum Today, the only changes were the brush and the stank. The AoS makes an unbelievably protective and slick lather. On my lower neck, this is priority-one. Even with the "mild" AS-D2, an ATG pass on the neck can be treacherous. Not so, today. The Burt's Bees has some added patchouli; something unusual in your typical Bay Rum. Me likey.
