SE SOTD, Friday, March 29th 2024.

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to mid range depending on blades used or gap spacer used. Small head parts when assembling seem to be easier working on a wash incase of dropping them is what I have discovered and recommend. The combination of handle and head produces nice close comfortable shaves mostly. Has a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild, sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice Vanilla and light tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Deep Stones" 24mm synthetic boss knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather generator.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless) .
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP razor with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.

The Art Razor Pleasure of Art Shaving Soap lathered well with the Bethlehem Olive Wood Silvertip Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickenson's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

SE Sunday shave, March 31st 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple blade clamping system with small head parts. I like to work on a wash cloth when assembling for more ease. Very affordable razor head if a person decides to venture into AC blade type razors. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian milds(3) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild rose cream, nice fragranced rose scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Great all around shave brush for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing aftershave lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur SE razor with a Kai Titian mild blade.

This was a great shave. I don't usually use vintage blades except for Personna 74s I probably won't use another of these vintage Pal hollow grounds but may give this blade a few more chances.

Razor : Gem G bar- Mfg 1955-58, mild to tame mid range. Interesting razor to work the face and results are great. The chrome finish is of high grade and has lasted a long time. This razor is built to last generations. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice scented XXX clean unique scent with some menthol + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX fresco with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem G bar with a coated Gem blade.
