Not bad as in defective or broken. One that does what it's supposed to but you just can't get to like it. I'll have to think about mine.
Had a Gem Feather Weight. Didn't like it, too light for me. PIF'ed it. I do not have any razors in my rotation that I don't like. Come to think of it, I don't have any razors in the house I don't like. What I didn't like, I got rid of.
had a razo-rock original mamba i just couldn't get on with,a couple of merkurs, and all my pre 1920 gillette thin cap old types.passed along many ,many gillettes in various conditions for various reasons.nothing bad about them..just not for me.
Same. On second thought, no matter how many tries I give the Wilkinson Sticky, it's never quite up to what I expect it should be.
I don't dislike the Slim, per se, but despite owning one for the exact same amount of time as my Fatboy, I've shaved with the Slim maybe five or six times. ...in the past decade. If I'm going to shave with an adjustable, I'll pick almost any other adjustable over the Slim. Except the Rockwell Model T, which is an alright shaver as well, it just lacks... something. Refinement perhaps? It feels crude in comparison to the Gillette adjustables. The other modern Chinese 'budget friendly' adjustable razors suffer from the same lack of refinement.
I love YUMA razors. They are so cheap that I got multiple of them to modify/costimize. But once a bent YUMA (I think the guard was bent cause they sell them in a box, like beans knocking on each other) got me good. I thought I did something wrong, it wasn't until the end of the shave that I noticed the bent guard. Lesson learned, always check the blade alignment. Asil KIRATLI
Fatip Picalo, badly made, rubbish blade alignment it would have been nicer using a broken bottle to shave with.
I would call a bad razor a @$&$-__(_(-/!:!";";"?"!..*?_(+_+_+__+¥{€€}|π|÷•§¥°¥π¥§__$--+$+$+$:$&&##)$)#(^¢¥×€π€•¢§€§•}¥¥=¥π¥π•{•{•}•`§`π¥™[©✓ !! See @Sara-s you can say what you would call them , just with a little creative censoring !!
Proves that you have to find a razor that works for you, not necessarily what others think. The Slim on 4 setting is my favorite, along with the Black Beauty also set on 4.
I wouldn’t call it a bad razor, and I did learn DE shaving with it, but the Edwin Jagger DE8911 is not my favorite, after about 11 years of DE shaving. I haven’t used it in some time, I probably need to get it out and give it another try. I got the smooth handle, and while it has never slipped in my hand while shaving, maybe replacing the handle would improve my opinion of it.
I have tried and enjoyed nearly every Gillette ever patented and I have used a Slim exclusively for over a year and a half and never really enjoyed it. Thinking it may have been a bad Slim; I tried 4-5 different Slims and still did not care for them. I do however enjoy the black beauty immensely and yes, they are different. I wanted to like the slim because my father used one for over 35 years ..... for me not so much. If I was gullible fool and listened to others .... I'd be running out there every other month spending 3-5 hundred dollars buying every silly overpriced razor out there, but I don't. Last I knew everyone's face is different. You like the slim ..... that good, but I don't.
For me it was the Gem G Bar. They look so art deco classy, I really wanted to like one. I tried three over a period of time, but didn’t like any of them. I found it difficult to balance , it just wasn’t intuitive for me. It’s been a few years now, so I’m due for another possible tryout.
