    Early morning shave,

My shaving highlight of the week, and so far this year has been my reacquaintance with the Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone & Dorco Prime Platinum blade which is a fantastic duo.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

    DE Shave # 527

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Yaqi Traveler
    Blade: Suneko Amorphous Diamond SS
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
Lather: Stache Soap Works E Barber
    Aftershave: Floïd Genuine Vigoroso

A very quick and efficient shave this morning. The 200T did a nice face lather of the E Barber soap. Eventually I will have to determine which soap in my collection will be loaded into the stick once I finish with this soap.

The usual three passes with great results. Now I am ready for a day in the Florida sun.

Hope you all have a great day.

Great Throwback shave this morning. I misjudged the amount of Fine soap I have left-I guess it can last longer than I thought. I experimented with different ways to load the soap. Nice work in most areas, except for that dreaded right sideburn area just under the ear. I'm going to fix that right now. Good-that takes care of that. Maybe my May(birthday month)focus should be in trying to solve that problem for good. 2 passes. Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. I have the matching aftershave(Fine Latigo). It's real nice. Always fun to do a great shave on Throwback Thursday. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    good morning gents
first shave of the year with a neglected shave set, waves.
this used to be tops for me ,but i have so much better..
or i can lather stuff better, either or.
finicky at first then i loaded it like "it owed me"to quote others,
maybe it needs daily use to come back..
finally a great lather but i had to get more from the puck each pass.
    masybe it's too old..
smooth 2 passer with the parat,
    matching splash to finish
will give this set a few shaves in succession to see if it comes back.
or should i try a 3017 with it;)
mwf is like that if i remember correctly
will try a 3017 with it:)
    awesome.
    have a fine day everyone

Woke up this morning and took a nice hot shower and shave.

The Schick Krona got the call today as I've been working with that most of the month. I put a new Shark blade in and I got a very nice shave. I won't go into all the details, because I'm going on a trip for a few days.

Now, I'm not bringing much, just a can of Barbasol, a tiny tube of Preraso cut gel, some Clubman Vanilla AS and my Gillette Tech. It's my smallest razor and it gives a pretty non aggressive shave. I have a Treet blade with a Trig backup.

So I guess this minimalist shave without much prep except maybe a shower, will be a good indicator of where my wet shaving skills are now. I only plan to shave once, maybe twice if I dare, before my return trip.

Wish me luck gentlemen. I'll try and check-in and let you know how it came out. :):happy036:

PS - is Shave Den located in New Orleans? When I Google shave shops in NO, Shave Den comes up:confused:

    Good morning.

    Van der Hagen TTO Razor
GE Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (4)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
    Soap Commander Vision SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 32 hrs

I was going to wait until tomorrow, but decided to shave this evening. I went with the Van der Hagen Razor. I know that I used it last week, but I just wanted a simple, easy shave. Three passes with some buffing gave me a nice, very close, and comfortable shave without any bloodletting. I picked Soap Commander Vision because I haven't used it in awhile and my goal is to use up some of my samples this year. Joe C @JACarbone piffed this sample to me so I thank you my compare. It does produce a nice, slick lather and it does like water. Here's my lather:

I had very little alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and that wonderful (to me) Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. Take care.
