Prep: Warm shower:/Bulldog Original Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl
Lather: Vitos Vegetale Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D3)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. (Settings) 3-wtg,4-atg,+pick ups.

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils, 5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel/P&G & Old Spice Bearglove ASL Spray./ Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

Early morning shave,

(Face & Head Shave)

A close comfortable BBS face and head shave to finish the month off superbly.

The Dorco prime platinum blade still felt smooth and efficient on it's third outing, which in my opinion is very good. Doing a head shave with any blade is equivalent of two face shaves in my way of thinking, as I find head shaving dramatically dulls the edge of a blade, lowering the longevity of a blade much quicker than it does with face shaving. YMMV. Another thing that has impressed me with the Dorco Prime Platinum is that every blade I've used from the batch has been good, not one blade has been a dud. The manufacturing QC quality at the Vietnam plant is excellent.

In May I will continue my focus with Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone for my combined face & head shaves and continue to use a variety DE razors for my face shaves pairing them all together with the Dorco Prime Platinum and trying out the four packs of La Barbiera shaving soaps that I've had for sometime but haven't got round to trying them out.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #199 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Merkur Progress Adjustable Razor and the Nacet Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Extra Vris version of De Vergulde Hand is excellent - the scent is so nice - it’s sort of aquatic with a bit of a eucalyptus note, does it ever thick, rich, cushiony and protective, it’s quite slick, and it’s very skin friendly. It’s such an awesome soap despite its cheap price. The Proraso Blue balm is so moisturizing as well as soothing, and in my honest and unbiased opinion there’s no fragrance like the Bleu de Chanel - it’s so beautiful. Three passes gave me a terrific BBS shave that was so much fun!

A day late cuz my computer crashed over the weekend. On to the shave which was very nice. Smooth/comfortable/efficient: that's what we're looking for. So my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

ASRazor shave, Tuesday, April 30th 2024

Razor : Gem 1912 Damaskenne OC, MFG 1912-15, mild to tame mid range. Excellent design and stamping technology for that time period. Very enjoyable old razor to use that will compete with almost any razor for my desired results at the end of a shave. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) Very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose. Nice rose scented 7/10 strength with excellent lather qualities. Great creams CRS makes.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express: 26mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber(RR) Amici splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem 1912 with a coated Gem blade.
