Initial blast is harsh. Then a really nice lavender...sadly, doesn't last very long. Then it morphs into a sweet vanilla. It's an "ok" stank...not my favorite. Dr. Mrs. Primo doesn't hate it.

Our friend Bill sent me this label to replace the horribly askew label that Simpson originally (and drunkenly) put on the brush. At the time, I reached out to them and they really didn’t care….besides offering to send me another label at my cost. I have not bought a nice Simpson product since, save for some cheap Trafalgars to bash the knots out from.
Yes, the label is from a previous era of handles, but it is straight at least.

ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Semogue TSN Final Edition 1/50~~Gillette New SC/Feather YSL M7 AS
After work and after mowing the lawn, I needed a shower and a shave.
The Gillette New SC is a beaut and the second-use Feather blade was tops.
YSL M7 for the well-deserved finish.

A new EdT to the den this week. I remember seeing a posting quite some time ago that said that Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica was a dupe of Azzaro Pour Homme. That surprised me as I thought it was an SVoriginal. Anyway, fast forward to me finding this Azzaro at Winners (Canadian TJ Maxx). I picked it up. I can see why the Felce isconsidered a dupe. It seems not quite as‘fresh’ as the SV, but very nice regardless.

Happy Friday!!!! This 3017 is going by pretty quickly. There is roughly 42 grams of soap remaining, so I should be finished in two weeks or so. My face is :Animatedfrozensmily: and I absolutely love it. Take care everyone and have a great day.

Thank you Joseph. I had a Timeless SS that I sold back in 2016 and have regretted it ever since. I must say I am enjoying the scalloped safety bar more than my previous OC.

The Leresche was surprisingly mild...:shocked003: could it be my advanced technique :signs002:
The St Johns is a fantastic, summer stank.

awesome set up and pic Joseph.:cool:i often woder about a second DE type razor, vintage of course.i hasd the cooper monobilt and traded it off to a member here, barbasol floating head, or lereshe #51.which do you prefer?,differences?,i like the looks of the lereshe..

That's a tough question. They both are attractive razors. Both have, imo, aggressive blade-exposure. The Leresche is more nimble and will bite at the slightest misstep. The Barbasol is much heavier and balances towards the handle. I can't say which one I "prefer", but I can say that I have become comfortable using both razors and they each are a pleasure with which to shave. (Cop-out answer, I know). :)
