The search for the next 3017 is ongoing. Choices, choices. I want something that is at least 1/2 empty, excellent performance but will not compel me to replace it immediately. I want to reduce my absurd amount of soaps.

In the awesome soap bowl is new puck of Electric Sheep, great stuff but the puck is more than 90%.

DR Harris Arlington cream is a favorite for sure, it has maybe a third less and the scent is perfect for warmer weather. I would feel compeled at some time in the future to replace it but I think I could out for a while. This is definately a candidate for 3017.

Just add a few drops of lanolin and this is an amazing performer. Plus the MdC Fogere is a top scent. While has about a 1/3 left I would feel a strong desire to replace it right away. I have not been purhcasing many razors or soaps the past two years except for Tabac tallow in preparation for the shaveapocolips. To support the very few local vendors I could not help but take advantage of sale for this Dovo 6/8 razor. I decided to give the factory edge a shot, I was shocked as the edge was fantastic. So much for the conventional wisdom new Dovo razprs need to be honed.

Awesome sauce is great name for this soap. I enjoy this one in the summer but with 90% left it will likley not be the next 3017 target,

In support of the local vendor I also picked up a tub of Tabla Rossa. Wow, what an awesome soap and scent. This baby is just out of the gate so likely not a contender for the 3017 but I look forward to using it again and again.

Happy Thursday Everyone. Since I have finished tax season and moved 5 razors out of the den, I decided to reward myself with a new razor. I am looking forward to getting to know this razor further. Have a great day and take care.

Initial blast is harsh. Then a really nice lavender...sadly, doesn't last very long. Then it morphs into a sweet vanilla. It's an "ok" stank...not my favorite. Dr. Mrs. Primo doesn't hate it.

Our friend Bill sent me this label to replace the horribly askew label that Simpson originally (and drunkenly) put on the brush. At the time, I reached out to them and they really didn’t care….besides offering to send me another label at my cost. I have not bought a nice Simpson product since, save for some cheap Trafalgars to bash the knots out from.
Yes, the label is from a previous era of handles, but it is straight at least.

ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Semogue TSN Final Edition 1/50~~Gillette New SC/Feather YSL M7 AS
After work and after mowing the lawn, I needed a shower and a shave.
The Gillette New SC is a beaut and the second-use Feather blade was tops.
YSL M7 for the well-deserved finish.

A new EdT to the den this week. I remember seeing a posting quite some time ago that said that Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica was a dupe of Azzaro Pour Homme. That surprised me as I thought it was an SVoriginal. Anyway, fast forward to me finding this Azzaro at Winners (Canadian TJ Maxx). I picked it up. I can see why the Felce isconsidered a dupe. It seems not quite as‘fresh’ as the SV, but very nice regardless.
