  1. Great pics and reports, gents!

You use Ted Pella injector blades, Joe? I always thought Ted Pella made and sold blades that were more "industrial" grade and intended for labwork...

In my mental ranking of injector blades for sharpness and smoothness, I have vintage US-made Schicks at the top, then maybe Supply Japanese-made Black Label, then Chinese Schicks, then Personna white cartridge and Supply White Label (made by Personna), and finally Ted Pella at the bottom.
  2. Thanks John. I agree that Ted Pella blades are not as smooth as the Chick's when in my E-3. However, they feel much better in my milder I-1. Would I buy them again? Probably.
  3. Thanks Joe, I am in good company then

Thanks John. Just interesting to find where my limits are, more attention needs to be paid. I will push the Slim to 9 at a later date with better face prep, better lather and definitely a better blade
Not having much joy with the Shark Super Chromes lately, but need to finish the tuck

Good tip about the adjustables...no points awarded for any effort on my part at manliness, even my avatar is no contest!
And then there's the SE guys, that's a step up again! ;) :scared003:

Did an error-free three pass shave. It was close and comfortable. I picked the PAA/King R Emporium because it has a nice, mild barbershop scent and it lathers well. It also is quite slick. Here's my lather:

I had zero feedback from the alum block. Splashed on the witch hazel to help tone down the skin. I don't have the matching splash so I used the Zaharoff Signature Series aftershave. I have plenty of it so why not use it because it does pair will with this soap despite it being a cologney frag. Take care.
