SOS: May 2024

This is a weak one. I give this one a rating of 3-3.5 out of 10. What I like about this one is the aroma and face feel and super easy to lather, almost like a cream in ease to lather.

 

Have them all except peppermint clove. Since I have over 30 Bay Rum soaps/creams in my shave den I was not in a hurry to purchase their Bay Rum but pulled the trigger this past Sunday for the Bay Rum half-pounder and the Lime, Bay Rum mint aftershave but this is a gift from my daughter for Fathers Day.

Brush: Omega 48 Pro.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Scottish Fine Classic Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D3)
Razor: Ming Shi 2000s Futur clone. (Settings) 3-wtg,4-atg,+pick ups.

Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils, 5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Splash-On Lotion./ Bulldog Original ASB.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #119 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette English Flat Bottom NEW Razor and the PolSilver Super Iridium Blade blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation Mellon 3166 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent razor for my shaving needs. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : GSB(3) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, unique clean scent with excellent lather qualities. Brand new 4th tub used this morning. Top tier soap for myself.
Brush :Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. 26mm synthetic brushes are the best for wanting to indulge yourself in a Zen moment or two.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash (3rd bottle) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 1 small blemish weeper = Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon 2nd Gen razor with a GSB blade. (it does not get much better shaving for myself!)

Nice of her. The one I just purchased(1911) is my 3rd aftershave(to add to Heartwood and Signature 1907). I also have Heartwood shave soap. What's your opinion of that Soda one(forgot the exact name)?

 

I had the Grey Flannel cologne once(Christmas gift, long ago).
