    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

Another acceptable shave to finish my shaving week.

A great inexpensive shave set up. The Baili BD191 mowed through my stubble effortlessly paired together with the Dorco Prime Platinum making my early morning shave a pleasurable experience.

The stubby Omega boar 10051 is wonderful for face lathering.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick-ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

  3. Great shave report and pic, Barry!

Is that razor stand also by Bailli or did it come from somewhere else?

  4. Thank you John. The razor stand I purchased separately from eBay uk. quite some time ago. It's manufactured in China, like most things these days, the borehole on the stand is slightly bigger than the razor handles I use it with, I've put a small piece of Blutack in the bottom so the razor can sit firmly in place. It took 14-17 days approx to be delivered to me.

here is a link to virtually the same stand to be purchased on eBay US. Razor Solo Stand/Base Brushed Aluminum Alloy Adjustable Safety Razor St SgLW FN4 | eBay

This is just one seller that I've randomly picked if you have a browse you can choose one your own accord.

P.S. To my knowledge it's free shipping & postage.

Hope this is helpful for you.

    Yours- Barry.

    Same again!

Same great shave, even with the Gillette Platinum on day 4. Don’t usually go that far with a blade, but this was fine. Wonder what's changed?

2 passes and minor touch ups

    No damage

I am now applying the Proraso preshave, leaving it on, and lathering over that with thinner lather, rather than removing the pre-shave before lathering up

    Seems to work well

    ASL = Fine Latigo

    Scent = Hajar

Getting into a kind of a groove here with the Rocket HD and GP

Just trying to finish the Sterling Agar

    Have a great Thursday
  6. Gary, thank you

Hmm, you are trying to tempt me, I see. Difficult choice. Nick free vs adjustable?

Another super shave and in the true spirit of the thread, well done John.

  9. Thanks, Chris for the kind words about the shave.

But as for the other comment, that is a tough choice. And while I would never ever dream of trying to tempt a fellow 30DCer to buy anything shaving related, since you have raised the issue, I can only comment that I still have the original three variable plates for my Supply 2.0 razor plus the new "SE" nick-proof open-comb plate. In effect, I have both the adjustable / interchangeable precursor to the Pro and the nick-proof non-adjustable SE. And in the two years since I acquired the SE plate, that is the only one I have bothered to use. Make of that what you will....

  16. A fine Throwback Thursday shave this morning. Boy, that Stoylin soap jumped onto the Stoylin brush to help set things up. Lots of good sudsy lather waiting for me tomorrow. Clean and clear all over...no problems. 2 passes. I have to wonder about the Agadir A.S. after applying it....it says "Cooling After Shave". Now, I know it isn't like Skin-Bracer cool or certainly not Osage cool, but maybe they mean "Cooler Than You Might Think". Goes on warm, at first snd THEN you get the cooling persuasion. All in all, it's a nice aftershave. Finished with Millionaire cologne. As Outstanding As It Gets.

  18. Thank you Gary....By the way, I'd add Clubman A.S. to the "Cooling" discussion. I don't get that "cooling" persuasion with Clubman, either. Course as I implied, it ain't Skin-Bracer, if you want "cooling".

    Good morning.

    MicroTouch TTO Razor
Dorco ST 300 DE Blade (5)
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
Captain's Choice North SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 23.5 hrs

I decided to go with this mild razor because I really didn't have a heavy stubble. Did 3 error-free passes for a BBS shave. Of course, I had to do some buffing, but that's due to the mildness of this razor. The Dorco Blade has held up so far and therefore, I am impressed. I would like to see how this blade does in my R102.
Anyway, I went with the Captain's Choice North. It has a nice juniper scent and creates a great lather. Here's my lather:

I didn't have any alum feedback. Using a mild razor, I did not expect to hav any. Finished with splashing the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. I feel clean and refreshed. Take care.
