Received my tub of Macduffs Prairie Blooms yesterday. Absolutely fantastic soap base. The Lilac scent is every bit as good as Michelle's.

 

SE SOTD, Friday, June 7th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to mid range depending on blade used or shim gap. Excellent machining and finish QC, simple clamping design with small head parts make for a excellent nimble shave.
Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild(3) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity in this razor. Top tier blade in the AC or 50mm SE blade.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, very interesting scented soap that is kind of addictive to myself(Aramis classic dup) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Small handle with a excellent knot that works for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel cleanse + Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE with a Kai captain titian mild blade.

Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Pearlman shaver's Spirit Shaving Soap.
Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack. (D1)
Razor: Parker Variant. (Settings) 2.5-wtg-3-atg+pick-ups.

Post:

Another new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend.

It's been a while since I used the Pearlman Shaver's spirit soap is good shaving soap... It's very slick, protective with a fresh mild masculine fragrance which lingers throughout the shave and beyond creating a wonderful lather in a short space of time leaving a good post shave feel too.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

The De Vergulde Hand Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #449 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gravjura 5/8 straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Derby City Chop Shop Winter Reserve After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Great to hear, my friend.
It's one of the best soaps I've ever tried and Scott's scents are very well done.
It's a bonus for me that he lives 15 minutes away from me.

Shave #7 on this Latvian Beauty(at least I think so). I had a 2 pass shave, that delivered a BDBS(Baby Dolphin Butt Smooth Shave). Zero issues. A spectacular razor.

Razor- RigaRazor 15/16th. Made in Latvia.
Brush- B-400 by Tom( @twhite ). Omega Boar knot
Soap- ARKO
Aftershave- Old Spice(Shulton made).

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE 316 SS Torsional slant with a Yaqi brass nickel coated handle. Mfg 2023>,mild to tame mid range depending on blade. Excellent machining and finish for my shaving needs. Of my 4 slants this is the easiest to use for good results. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Astra SP(2) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream, nice clean scented soap with excellent lather qualities. Makes excellent ubber lather with left over soap from day before in bowl.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle, Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber, great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SLOPE slant with a Astra SP blade. For not much stubble to mow down from yesterdays close shave the razor and blade performed well IMO.
