SE SOTD, Friday, June 14th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on AC blade used or gap shim used. Excellent machining and finish QC with a simple clamping system. One of my favorite SE razors of many and is part of my main rotation. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Kai captain titian mild(4) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity has been my findings.
Soap : Razorock "The Dead Sea" croap- very unique scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm Silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Short handle with a large bloomed knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock "The Dead Sea " splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP razor with a Kai Titian mild blade. (Very close shave that I enjoyed this morning).

Heljestrand Lather Catcher and the Heljestrand Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick shave, June 16th 2024

Razor : Schick J1 injector, Mfg 1957-64, mild to tame mid range. Well made and designed to last many generations. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick (9) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick, very mild scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, Heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Large handle with a soft knot that works well for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick J1 injector with a Schick blade.
