  11. I corrected this post. I inadvertently said that I can use a Personna Hairshaper Blade in this razor and that's impossible. When I originally posted, I was thinking about my Dovo shavette that uses Personna Hairshaper blades. I meant to write that I can use Schick Injector blades in the GEM MMOC. Senior moments do happen.

  12. June 20 SOTE

    Good evening.

    Shavette Shave #557
    Dovo
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (9)
    Hembree/Maggard Timberwolf Brush
    TSD Orange SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 26.5 hrs

I decided to go with my Dovo shavette this evening and use the TSD Orange soap for tonight's shave. Three passes gave me a very close shave, but I got a nick just below my left jawline. I laughed because I rarely draw blood with this razor. I was doing a Gillette slide and I didn't keep the razor on the same angle to my skin and thus cut myself. It was a small nick and I attribute it to using a light touch when shaving with an open blade razor. Anyway, it still was a nice shave.

The TSD soap produced a nice, creamy slick lather. Here it is:

Didn't get much feedback from the alum so that's always a plus. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave and I am good to go. Take care.

  15. Well, a positive rebound of a shave from yesterday. Course there was only one thing wrong about yesterday, but nothing wrong today. 0:50 at the loading dock for the Stoylin Glacial soap(Sheep). Clean and clear shave all around. Again, little extra time spent on North Porcupine(under nose), but I got what was needed. Goose eggs for cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Skin-Bracer A.S. followed by One Man Show cologne to close out. As Outstanding As It Gets.
