It was a no shave day for me. I am not sure what razor I will use tomorrow. However, I do have the rest of the setup laid out.

The Nivea Men Body Shaving Stick provided a cushioned protective slick lather leaving a superb post shave feel.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

The problem with this morning's shave was twofold: Not enough loading time, and a little hard at NE Porcupine. As the shave developed, I felt better, though. The cold-water rinse followed by the Glacial A.S.(Stoylin Lime) took care of the redness at Porcupine. No pain, just red. Great job by the new brush, but it's probably too large for the small Lime Burst puck. 2 passes. Pretty Outstanding.

June 22 SOTM Head and Face Shave

    Greetings this morning.

    Mühle R102
    Feather DE Blade ( fresh, 2 )
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40 hrs
    Dome Turf: 2.75 days

    20240622_100137.jpg

I thought I would live a little dangerously and place a new Feather blade in my Mühle R102 (R41) Razor for my head and face shave. I say it's been about 4 yrs since I used a Feather blade in this razor. I only needed 2 passes for my face and head to get an error-free BBS shave. It is true that these blades are very sharp and would recommend that newbies use these blades in mild razors. One must be on their A game to use Feathers with aggressive razors like the R41. I remember cutting myself when I first used these blades in my Dovo shavette and this razor. I am pleased with the way this shave turned out.
I did make sure that I prepped my face and head with more water than usual before I painted and scrubbed the lather on my face and dome. I picked Angora Soaps because I wanted a very slick, cushiony, creamy lather to minimize the probability of cutting myself. Here's my lather:

    20240622_101044.jpg

Surprisingly, I didn't get much alum feedback anywhere on my neck, face and dome. That's telling me that I had the right amount of pressure and angle on this razor. Splashed on the witch hazel and the wonderful matching aftershave. Take care.
