    SRS #’s 1114 & 1115 - Gemini Shave - Old Salty

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Wade & Butcher No. 1 Hollow Ground
Brush: Sawdust Creation Studio Working Man Blues
    Lather: PAA Old Salty
    Aftershave: PAA Old Salty
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

I decided to take a break from the use of the two soaps I featured this month. I just wanted to as a little variety.

The PAA Old Salty is a wonderfully scent soap. The scent profile is as follows: “A Clean, Fresh, Bracing Scent of Salty, Crisp Ocean Air Surrounded by Hints of Balsam, Driftwood & Citrus with Quieter Notes of Oakmoss & Vanilla.”

As our heat wave continues, I had two glorious shaves with this soap courtesy of the W & V straight. Three passes to excellence. I took it easy today, no X3Bar Leg workout as the heat and humidity this morning was a little too much to bear. Back on the horse Monday.

Hope you all had a great day.

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Moisture Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: Wilkinson Sword shave Stick.
Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack. (D2)
    Razor: Parker 22R.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Superdrug Sierran Breeze ASL./Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

    Greetings,

The Treet Dura Sharp felt super smooth & efficient paired together well with the 22R on it's second outing....I find that some DE blades especially stainless & teflon coated ones start to show their true potential on the second shave.
The WS shave stick is a wonderful shave stick it's surprising how much of a good lather you get from the humble shave stick, especially the older tallow based formula.

I have mentioned before that It's such a shame that they have now been discontinued. I was lucky enough to get a spare before this happened which should hopefully keep me going for some time...Another great humble shaving product gone forever.

A comfortable close shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.
  20. great 2 passer and great pic Gary

Well done Joe, maybe not living dangerously enough? Kai anyone? (snigger)
Nice shave, lather and great outcome

do like the look of that brush Joe, take it easy in the heat...

    Thanks Joe

Another wonderful post and shave, that reminds me to dig out my WS shave stick and give it another try....sooner rather than later.
