My second outing with this new Glacial scent and I absolutely freaking LOVE it - is it ever BRILLIANT. Along with the cedar I think I detect a slight lemony note, the soap lathers wonderfully with the signature Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze a polar bear’s ass off, but the postshave feeling is so soothing as well as comfortable - like ALL of Rod’s soaps. The Gold Bond moisturizer has no shortage of menthol either and it’s great for sensitive skin. Finally the lovely scent of the Glacial Cedar aftershave along with its bone chilling menthol kick and the job was completed. What a delightful three pass BBS shave this was with my Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword combo!

Razor : Yaqi "Flipside" dual SB & OC. Mfg 2020>, mild to midrange, open comb side is milder side and straight scalloped bar side is mid range. This inexpensive razor (I won in a Yaqi live raffle) is excellent for my shaving needs, well built and chrome finish is excellent IMO. Had a close and comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp(1) sharp and smooth with great longevity. Another Gillette top tier blade in my harem of den blades.
Soap : Proraso Green Eucalyptus, nice summer mentholated change for scented soap + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle. Excellent lather painter, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Nice overall shave brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso green Eucalyptus mentholated splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi dual sided Flipside razor With a Perma-sharp blade.

Relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The mildly aggressive 92R cut through my stubble with effortless ease.

A comfortable close shave to finish the month off superbly. In July I will be doing a focus with all my Gillette & Wilkinson Sword DE razors pairing them up with a variety of blades that I haven't had in my blade rotation for quite some time.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Here my Sunday Shave (30.06.2024)


Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant + // Blade: Gillette yellow // Soap: B&M Spice // Brush: Zwilling Black Fibre // Aftershave: B&M Spice

A shave with completely new products. Razor, Bowl, Soap and AS as well as the Brush.

It worked very well together. The razor is a pure joy to use. So smooth, gentle and thoroughly in 2 passes. Build like to pass the test of time.

The soap is just wonderful This is the best Old Spice Clone i have smelled so far. Absolutely wonderful. Lathers up quickly (the very good brush did it´s part too) and you can easily dial in the consistency you want it to be. Skinfeel when applying the soap is excellent.

Today i did not use an Alum Block because i wanted to give the Aftershave the chance to perform by itself. And man did it a very fine job. The scent is made in heaven. No stinging, NOTHING. Just pure skincare.

A wonderful wonderful shave.
