Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Not a happy day for me at all - today I have my favourite aunt’s unveiling and next week is my Mom’s. I transplanted the Wilkinson Sword blade to my 50s Super Speed and the results were great. The Palmolive Classic cream smells so nice - so much nicer than the discontinued US version, the lather is soothing as well as very easy to work up. The Lubriderm moisturizer is unscented so it makes a terrific balm. Finally the delightful Bleu de Chanel fragrance. Two passes were enough for an excellent BBS shave.

Sunday shave, June 30th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC type with a Milano 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range. Small head parts make for a nimble shave. This affordable Razor head makes for a decent shave 95%> of the time and very enjoyable to use.
Blade : Schick proline (2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier, very interesting addictive scent(Some refer to Aramis classic fragrance?) + excellent lather qualities. Another favorite soap in my soap rotation.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka Express" 24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. I have 3 different Moka Express shave brushes and they are all wonderful to use, handle will vary depending on knot size.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur razor and a Schick proline blade.
