    @NCoxSTL Neal, it's either 3 strikes and I am out or the third one is a charm.
    My last guess would be Sharp Star DE blades.

    Matthew the haunted razor? Yep, sure do. He's up for show and tell in the near future.

    Your photo manages to make even a Gillette Tech look glamorous, Gary! Quite a feat, really...

    Nice thing about your shave gear -- it's truly universal. Absolutely no need to plug it in to charge it or make it work and no need to worry about having the right adaptor for that country's electrical outlets.

    Great to hear from you again, Neal! As you can see, I am still around, although I shave about once a week now instead of daily.

    That is a lovely Aristocrat you have, and, of course, one can never have too much Arko! If I recall correctly, you bought your Arko carton around the same time I bought mine -- when that Amazon vendor for some inexplicable reason was selling 12-stick cartons for the price of a single stick. I think a lot of us rather overloaded on the stuff....

    I also still have lots of Russian steel in my cache although I haven't bought any since the attempt to resurrect the Imperial Russian / Soviet Empire(s) got seriously underway. In fact, I had to think for a few minutes to remember any of the blade names without cheating and looking.

    I think I have to go with Joe @Trigger on this one: your favourite Russian blade was the Sharp Star.

    Yes.....beginning to realize that, they are not all there

    This one is advertised as No 24 with shipper, alumimium baseplate, similar colour case to yours
    Pretty, but also pretty pricey

    Days growth = 1

    Sticking with these items for a bit more

    Prep = 3x hot water soak
    Preshave = T&H No. 10
    Cream/Soap = T&H Sandalwood
    Brush = Chubby 2
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = 1958 TV special D3
    Blade = Kai (1)
    Passes = 2 ++
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers,
    ASL = Pinaud Clubman

    Scent = Santal Spirit EdT Sandalwood
    Score = 9.5 / 10

    Damage = None

    Thoughts = the Kai brings this little razor alive, making it feel more like an OC. Care taken to apply less pressure than yesterday, but there was still that familiar feeling of rapid exfoliation of the skin, hence I backed off and left some stubble for another day. Not game to go ATG with this blade. The Kai actually felt a bit rough, rougher than I remember from previous use, but should smooth out nicely over the next few uses

    Should be worth comparing with one of my Sterling soaps

    Have a great Wednesday one and all

    good morning gents
    fine midweek proraso shave.
    this reformulated "super formula" proraso is outstanding
    thick slick lather built with a tuxedo synthetic no less..
    smooth 2 passer,minor pick ups with the late 50's brit all brass/nickel tech
    generous splash of older bottle proraso green to finish
    scent seems stronger than the new bottles.
    awesome
    have a fine wednesday everyone

    A great way to close out(for now)this run with Proraso. Nice painting job across my face and neck with the Pro Green tub contents. A much better job down at South Porcupine(chin). In fact, zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots anywhere. 2 healthy passes. The Pro Green A.S came on nicely-felt snd smelled real good. One Man Show cologne to finish. As Outstanding As It Gets. Some much colder items coming up.
