    3rd Week of July Setup
    Pre-shave: Face brush-washed with VdH Natural brush and Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap
    Razor: Gillette Slim, setting 9
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum, shave 2
    Soap: Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise, face-lathered
    Brush: Stirling Pro-Handle Synthetic
    After-shave: Aqua Velva Ice Sport

    Same setup as yesterday, so no photo.

    METHODOLOGY: Full-face WTG; neck-only XTG; full-face ATG; second neck-only ATG pass
    SHAVE CLOSENESS: Excellent. BBS closeness
    SHAVE COMFORT: Very good. Some very slight dragging noted; no big deal
    NICKS/IRRITATION: None
    SHAVE LONGEVITY: Excellent. Shave still looks great 9 hours later
    FRAGRANCE LONGEVITY: Held up for about 3 hours
    OVERALL: This is proving to be a great setup!
    COMMENTS: The Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap, left in a soap dish, filled my washroom with the pleasant aroma of natural soap and menthol.

    Here my Shave of the Day (17.07.2024)

    Razor: Ronson Razor // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: B&M Spice // Brush: vintage Ever-Ready // Aftershave: Alum - B&M Spice

    This was an absolute outstanding shave.

    Ronson Razor…what a SMOOTH, GENTLE and THOROUGHLY razor this is. I am highly impressed.

    BBS at it´s best and with a shave quality which i have not thought of getting from this razor. While shaving i had the feeling that there is no blade inserted but all stubbles were gone magically. It is almost as efficient an my Aylsworth Drakkant with the „+“-plate. Smooth as silk especially against the grain. I am SO glad i bought this razor, because of it look and of it´s shaving qualities it will definitely be used regularly.

    The Alum had only one minor sting on my left cheek and the Aftershave had nothing to it. The Aftershave did it´s job fantastic again. For me personally, the Aftershaves from B&M are one of the best out there. Skincare is fantastic.

    Now i will reflect on this wonderful shave and this gorgeous razor with a cup of coffee and a pipe :love055:
