The Old Spice Original Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #458 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem Pushbutton Razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Old Spice Original Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Eager to hear your commentary on Maggard's London Barbershop.

 

SE SOTD, Friday, July 19th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP head + Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on blade or Gap used. excellent machining + finish QC make for a decent nimble shave. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild(9) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity using this razor, not sure how longevity is better but it seems to be.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green", very nice fresh evergreen natural forest scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle hair brush. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my favorite boar brushes for looks and performance + not a lather hog!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE 316SS razor with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.

Thanks. I've never been in a London Barbershop, but I like the scent . It lathers up really well, and it is slick. I recommend it. I have a few Maggard soaps ; they are all very good in my opinion.

Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Goodfellas' Smile Abysso Shaving Soap.
Blade: Feather Hi Stainless. (D1)
Razor: 1940's Thin Handle Gillette Flat Bottom Tech. (ENG)

Post:

A new shave set up to start the weekend. After the fantastic shaves that I've had from the Feather Hi Stainless I will continue to use them for another week.
The Goodfellas' Smile Abysso Shaving Soap & matching ASL which are both excellent. The slickness and post shave feel from the soap is superb.

Another close comfortable efficient combined face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.
