Injector and SE Shaves

SE SOTD, Friday, July 19th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP head + Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on blade or Gap used. excellent machining + finish QC make for a decent nimble shave. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild(9) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity using this razor, not sure how longevity is better but it seems to be.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green", very nice fresh evergreen natural forest scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle hair brush. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my favorite boar brushes for looks and performance + not a lather hog!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE 316SS razor with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.

The Old Spice Original Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #458 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Old Spice Original Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

It’s been a long time since I’ve used this wonderful Eddison floating head razor. It’s fitted with a twin blade and the shave was sublime Also featured is some Unobtanium T&H Lavender shave cream. This was one of the first shave creams I ever used and it’s time to use my final tube. Note to T&H: bring this one back - it was one of your best and belongs back in the line-up.

Razor : Gem Junior bar 1907-11 Lather catcher with stropping attachment in the handle. Mfg 1907-11, mild range. Excellent lather catcher and great for folks who like to buff a little. The razor is brass stamped out with a with beautiful script on the razor back with a Nickel coating. This razor was a master piece for the bar securing the blade and giving operator better protection in lather catchers of that era. This razor is very smooth and I feel confident when wielding it across my face. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda, very nice mild scented lavender with a touch of peppermint <(?), with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka Express" 26 mm synthetic brush. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Very nice brush to work the face.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Junior bar L.C. with a Coated Gem Blade.

I took my favourite travel razor gifted me by the designer Roger Quintero. Which gave me the most wonderfully smooth shave.

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP + a Yaqi Chippendale 313 SSP. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending on blade or shim used. Excellent machining and finish + design QC. Small head parts make for a nimble shave that I find very enjoyable. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild(10) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. The best 50mm AC I have ever used with this razor.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream, nice clean scented soap with excellent lather qualities. Makes excellent ubber lather with remnants of other soaps also.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE AC type with a Kai Captain titian mild blade.
