The only Blackland razor I have is the Dart & that razor could plain a 2 by 4. Sent from my SM-T387V using Tapatalk
In your handles photos, I noticed what I thought to be a BlackBird handle used in the BlackBird razor like I have. My razor is really blade forward and sounds like it's cutting/mowing whiskers down but it seems to leave lots and I have the need to press hard to make it work. I'm not a fan and it's way too heavy for my shave methods.
I haven't ever worked with intricate items such as your razor type cases, small boxes, jewelry boxer and such but it does sound fun. I've given up being around motors and magnets by doctor's orders and have given table saw, miter saw, blades, guides, jigs and what-have-you. It take a long time to collect things and then all of a sudden you give them all away or sell them for a dime on the dollar. At that point it's more satisfying just to give your tools away. I'll have to Google or YouTube intricate woodworking with table routers, it does sound like fun. I'll have to ask Medtronics what they think of the idea, they're my pacemaker device manufacturers. p.s. And the Bots are so plentiful and active here that I can ASSURE you there will be advertisements for table saws, miter saws, table saw blades, jig, router tables, routers, and bit set galore on most every page or website that I search or view.
I use up-cut spiral bits on my router with this kit from Rockler. There are some good videos there. 6 years ago my wife and I retired and moved from NJ to SC. Our NJ house had a full basement and I had a lot of woodworking tools, but houses on the SC coast don't have basements and I gave a lot of stuff away. Now I have to pack everything in our garage including 2 cars, 1 motorcycle, 4 bicycles, 2 kayaks and what's left of my tools. It's also about 94F in my garage right now and consequently I don't do as much woodworking as I used to, but it's still fun.
While I only have a few of the variations I'm a huge fan of the 40's/early 50's Rangers/Superspeeds/Rockets, etc. I just like the simplicity and functionality of the basic design. They are all mild and easy shavers although the BritPat Rocket (left in the first photo and bottom in the second) is like a SS on steroids in that it's heavier and more aggressive. I'm hoping some day to find a '41 and a '46 Ranger Tech but they are scarce and consequently pricey these days.
