  1. Wonderful weekender shave Gary. Do you find the Brit flaretip more aggressive than the American one?

  2. Super head and face shave Barry. The Tuxedo Brush looks classy. The Lavender Turkish cologne has to smell awesome.
  3. thank you Joe.:):eatdrink047:.being it's the last year of the brit flare tip it shares the same slim head as my L-2 U.S version frare tip.they are both very efficient .i haven't done any measurements though.

  5. Saturday Aug 17 (evening) - Anything Goes August

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / Japanese-made Supply Black Label (2)

    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple

Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Iced Pineapple splash

Last shave: Monday morning - 5.5 days

The setup (identical to last three shaves):

    IMG_20240802_084520_9_kindlephoto-130392029.jpg

The result: almost identical to last three shaves, which I described as Absolutely Awesome...

I did two passes, one WTG and the second more or less XTG. The second pass was XTG on my face, but more diagonal on my neck since that gets into the hollows better.

The Supply Black Label injector blade, on its second use (first was during my blade comparisons back in May), felt much sharper than the old blade last shave (vintage Schick on 11th use) -- but also felt much rougher although still usable. The overall result was still a DFS after two passes with no errors and silent alum. However, the blade was definitely not as smooth.

I will have to see how it feels next shave. If it still feels rough, it is going straight into the blade bank; I see no reason to try to put up with that.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. It is rather smoky here from the major wildfires burning in the north of the province -- and also in Alberta and BC to the west of us.
  6. Excellent shave and post John. I haven't tried the Iced Pineapple, but I am sure it's refreshing.

  7. Cool setup and eclectic-icity Barry, you know how to avoid the damage and achieve consistent error free shaves

Cool. Nice setup, reflections and mirrored selfie! Looks like summer over there

Great sounding shave Joe, it's always nice to try out some samples. Slick looking lather!

Great shave and report as usual John
I agree, if the blade is not behaving, it deserves to be summarily ditched

    Have a safe weekend
  8. thank you Chris:):eatdrink047:.didn't see that until now..:Dsummer is ending..;)

  9. Thanks Chris. As I mentioned earlier, I got this sample at Pasteur's Pharmacy Oct 2023 Meetup in NYC. I am only 50 miles east of Manhattan and it's just an easy train ride to get there. It's one thing that I can scratch off on my bucket list.
  10. mmmm..pasteurs..:happy093:

  11. Thanks, gentlemen!

I expect the refreshing part comes more from the "Iced" than the "Pineapple" really. Pineapple is a pleasant scent but it's the menthol that does it.
  12. awesome iced pinapple shave John.:bounce017:
  13. Thank you, Joe.

  14. Thank you, Chris. Eclecticism is something that 99% of all my shave set ups consist of.

    Greetings,

    Relaxing Sunday Morning Shave.

The WS shave stick is wonderful, it's surprising how much of a good lather you get from these sadly no longer available humble shave sticks.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)
