Like Clint, I am enjoying this 3017, MdC is the real deal. I am may not post for a week as I am going in next Tuesday for surgery for an inguinal hernia. A result of over doing it in the gym and zumba class. Fortunately the hospital is just a 90 second walk away. My brother and his family had planned to visit and they are arriving tomorrow so I get two days with them before the surgery.

Asha, Corey and their dog Copper stopped by for a couple of days on their way to Flagstaff, AZ. Movers are taking most of their big stuff but they were forced to pull a U-Haul trailer in order to cut down on the costs. It was nice of them to stop by on their way. Swati and I really enjoyed the visit. After they left this morning, I decided to wash and wax my car. The car looks nice but I worked harder than I wanted. A cool shower and a cold water shave set everything right in my world. Have a great day and take care.

Monday, August 26 ETHOS Vanilla Safi~~Simpson CH2 Synthetic Badger~~Gillette New LC/Personna 74~~Vintage Caron Pour un Homme The jury's still out on this shave soap. Good base, as usual, but I have to use my synthetic brush to avoid staining my badger tips. The Caron, while essentially a lavender stank, has a massive vanilla accord.
Tuesday, August 27 Tallow + Steel Indian Bay (3017)~~Hucklaration B5~~1936 Gillette De Luxe/Personna 74~~West Indies Bay Rum w/Lime Here's the next 3017. The T+S is this company's take on Bay Rum. Well, imo, it's an interesting scent, but a LONG way from what I consider Bay Rum. Hard to estimate how much soap remains. The container is wide enough to facilitate a successful "Fast 'n Loose"® lathering. While the soap color is quite dark, it does not stain a badger brush.
