I've been reading about SCreams and plan on making some. I was wondering if after shaves, EDC's & EDT's could be added to them.

Not a good idea to add alcohol to your soap/cream.

How about EO that are blended with say.....safflower oil? I have some that are in a base of the safflower oil.....how about hydrosols? wouldnt they water the cream down? I did add some of the oil to a glycerine based soap with success before.

Depends on how thick the cream is, and how much EO in oil you want to use.

I have never considered making my own stuff. I have problems turning bread into toast. that is why I make friends with people who can do stuff like that.

If you end up doing a SCream let us know how it goes Pepper.

    rick I'll make ya SCream!

JoAnna really knows what shes doing but I can tell you of my experience:

Never tried adding AS to a SCream but I have used EO's in my blends and can tell you to go lightly.
Too much oil will totally screw up the latherabilty of the SCream.
    Less is more.

Thanks, Rick. I was about to plunk down the cash for a few EOs to augment some modestly-scented SCreams; good to know I need to go lightly.

I have some Bergamot EO that I add to my shave on occasion, but put it in my lathering bowl for each shave - generally 1-2 drops is plenty. That way, if it screws anything up, it is only the small amount of cream I scooped out, or the lather I generated from a soap. I found that recommendation in a video at Em's Place.

Thanks! That's what I thought. As far as EO's, I've used them before and have been careful using them. When I make a successful SCream, I'll post it.
