  2. Thanks again, Joe. The colours on the yaqi brush handle are visually appealing. Yaqi produce some really nice colourful and functional shaving handles/ brushes.

  3. Excellent shave set up Joe. Love the scales on the Wade & Butcher. I have great admiration for straight razors and traditional wet shavers who shave with them. Superb shaving tools.

Great shave tonight from the Gillette fat handled tech.
The super Max platinum blades purchased online about 15 years ago not sure if their still around.
The razor gave a good shave with little effort 1 pass WTG 1 ATG Finished.
I felt this model of fat handle was nicer in then the US model with the being only 4 grams
heaver (GB 51grams) (US 47 grams) total weight.
I found the Proraso Eucalyptus menthol soap left my skin feeling really refreshed
I think the eucalyptus menthol aftershave was a bit of an overkill, As the feeling of freshness got a bit overpowering after a while.
All I know it was a great combination.

    Cheers all.

  13. Late post:

Tuesday Aug 27 (evening) - Anything Goes August

Prep: Hot face wash with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil (traditional anti-acne)

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / Personna white box (2)

    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple

Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Iced Pineapple splash

Last shave: Wednesday morning - 5.5 days

The setup (identical to last shaves):

    IMG_20240802_084520_9_kindlephoto-130392029.jpg

    The result: excellent.

The Stirling soap always lathers quickly and easily and provides excellent slickness and protection.

I did one pass WTG and a second XTG. That left me acceptably cleanshaven.

The Personna blade on its second use felt very sharp and smooth quite unlike my last shave with the dud Black Label blade. This blade felt like it was just wiping off the lather and the whiskers were magically disappearing with the lather - an effortless shave. Just like I expect my shaves with this Supply injector razor to feel.

The alum gave no feedback, and I had no nicks, blood spots or razorburn.

The splash provided a good ending to the shave.
