I certainly am pleased with this quick shave I did. I need to get ahold of a good brush, bowl, and shaving soap in the near future so I can give that a whirl. I have to admit, I am quite a fan of these Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless blades I bought a few years ago in a sampler pack when I was getting into safety razor shaving that I had forgotten that I had. They are a wholesome change from the Gillette Platinums that I usually use. I hope all you fine ladies and gentlemen of this forum have a great day and some great shaves.

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #457 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Red Tip Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

To be honest, not my favorite razor. I just don’t get along with it. At best, I get an OK shave.

SE SOTD, Friday August 30th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame med range. Excellent design, machining and finish QC. Small head parts make for a nimble shave and a joy to use when assembled. If a person wants a more aggressive razor just use the Feather super blades or use a shim of around 4-6/1000 of a inch works well also.
One of my favorite SE razors(I was using the Yaqi Excalibur for years and enjoyed that one also but it is not as smooth as the Romulus design IMO. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Titian captain mild (5) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity in the Romulus razor.
Soap : Razorock M.F croap. Nice scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 26mm Timberwolf synthetic(odd trial knot I bought,Lucky me!) Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite 26mm synthetic brushes.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock M.F with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus with a Kai C.T.M.P blade.(It would be hard to get a better shave this morning for myself!)
