    The Morning Shave.
The Feather Hi-Stainless blade was in my 1950’s Gillette British Rocket FlareTip today.

I missed yesterday’s shave, so used the Feather blade. Not sure how many shaves on this blade.
I only use the Feather if I miss a daily shave, it’s a little too sharp for a daily.
No weepers but this blade has lost its edge, slight drag which is uncommon for a feather blade.
So, this was its final run, full head and face shave.

The Omega Pro 48 is a great brush, I use this every few days, to allow it to thoroughly dry between shaves.
Once broken in and the tips split it’s really comfortable.

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Bulldog Peppermint & Eucalyptus Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
    Lather: Proraso Sensitive shaving soap.
    Blade: Vidyut/Supermax Super Stainless. (D1)
    Razor: Merkur 39C.
Razor: Gillette Guard. (Head) - (D3)

    Post:
Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils, 5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Superdrug Sierran Breeze ASL./L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave.)

I had all intention of using my Merkur 37C for my face shave but changed my mind at the last minute and used the 39C instead. I still prefer using the 37C over the 39C, as I prefer the shorter handle. Both razors however are smooth shavers.
The Proraso sensitive shaving soap created a nice creamy slick protective lather with only a small amount in a short space of time The residual slickness is excellent leaving a superb post-shave from the addition of the Aloe Vera and vitamin E making my mature skin feel soft & moisturized after the shave.

I will continue using the Vidyut/Supermax Super Stainless, Dorco Prime Platinum & the Gillette Wilkinson sword (Saloon Pack) and many more for a good while as I have such a large amount of blades to contend with and infrequently haven't gave them much use so I'll be using each blade for two shaves max then it gets binned regardless if I can get more shaves from them. A luxury can afford to waste.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Thanks for the great post. I like the Feathers better on the second use than the first. I have an Omega Pro. It's a very good brush. I've had mine for years.

The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1914 Gillette Pocket Edition Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Tuesday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 4
    Stirling Glacial Cedar SS
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
    Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash

Absolutely awesome - what a delightfully scented soap and aftershave from Rod and Mandy - these two fine people are such geniuses when it comes to shaving soaps, aftershaves, bath soaps, etc. The scent is so gorgeous - along with the cedar there’s another note which seems to be a bit of lime, the soap is so easy to lather, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is off the charts, and the postshave feeling is numero uno. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt so cooling as well as soothing, and the Glacial Cedar aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its beautiful scent. Another most enjoyable three pass BBS shave - wow!!!!!!!

Have a great day - be well and stay safe![IMG]

What is Proraso's Red one for(I mean, what kind of beard is most helped by it)?

Thanks. The red color is a sandlewood scent designation . It has sandlewood oil and shea butter. The shave cream is for all beard types. The white is for sensitive skin, and it has oatmeal and green tea. The green is for a refreshing feeling, and it has eucalyptus oil and menthol. The blue is a protective shave cream, and it has aloe and vitamin e added to it. I also have the Wood and Spice; like the others, it is very good, and it has a nice light scent that reminds me of wood and spice. The different colors are more for skin types and personal preferences than it is for beard types.

I'm seeing that the red is for "Coarse" beards, not all types. Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything. I apologize for my imprecise answer. On the other hand, any shave cream/soap made for a coarse beard can be used on a lesser beard.
