  2. 13 Sep 2024, Lucky Friday

    2 Days growth

    13 Sep 2024.jpg

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream
    Cream/Soap = Sterling Satsuma, still hanging in there, not much left...
    Brush = Semogue Owners club finest badger
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Eversharp SE Hydromagic L1
    Blade = Schick (4)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, left over lather to the face, rinse, Thayers rose petal
    ASL = Cella, just for a change
    Scent = Prada Ocean Luna Rossa, still there towards the end of the day
    Score = 9.5 / 10
    Damage = Minor weeper lower right chin, cleared with cold water. Likely didn’t get my lather thin enough, maybe a bit too much pressure, anyway the Alum gave some loud feedback today

    Lovely razor though

    Hope you all have a fantastic Friday, leading up to a super weekend

  6. Very good.shave this morning to close out the two-day Razzorock/Gabel's set. Clean and clear along the cheeks&sideburns. (better on the left sideburn ara than the right, though). Porcupine Alley came in very well(both ends). I got the center of Cactus Nation, but not so on the left and right sides. Fine work with the Gabel's Bay Rum. Closed out with Halston cologne. Pretty Outstanding.

  12. Friday Sept 13 (morning) - SE Supply, Synthetic, Semogue, Stirling September

    Prep: Hot face wash with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil (traditional anti-acne)

    Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / Personna white box (6)

    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep

    Brush: Semogue SOC cherrywood badger re-knotted with APShaveCo Tuxedo synthetic

    Lather Bowl: None

    Post: rinse, alum, rinse

    Last shave: Tuesday morning - 3 days

    The setup:

    IMG_20240906_173749_6_kindlephoto-381016627.jpg

    The result: OK to decent.

    This was a quick shave today. I was heading out on a few errands and decided at the last minute that I should shave. So it was "one and done" to look acceptably cleanshaven in public.

    This is a great setup for that: the synthetic brush whips up a quick face lather, the Stirling sheep soap provides easy slick performance and good postshave skin feeling, and the heavy Supply injector with the "nick proof" plate allows for a very rapid shave pass without risk of bloodshed.

    The net result is that I can do a one-pass shave to get from "scruffy hobo" to "neatly shaven businessman" in about two minutes flat.

    Hope everyone had a good week and will have an excellent weekend!

    The Schick Twin blades are expensive but the longevity efficiency, and smooth comfortable performance they provide is absolutely superb and the cost of them is well worth justified.

    Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

  20. Awesome one pass shave John. Realistically, I think most shavers can get by with a one pass shave. I think that the enjoyment of wetshaving prompts us to do more than one pass.
