    Very pleased with my shave today. I came back with Rise/Clubman Reserve(Gent's Gin). The "exit strategy" from the Rise was less of a problem today...just have to work harder with it than with others. Once out, it gave me a great shave. Clean&clear all over. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. Worked a little more along the jaw. The Clubman Reserve(Gent's Gin)was a nice closer. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Thanks Chris. I hone my razors using lapping films instead of stones because it's idiot proof and a lot less expensive than stones. Also, films do not take up space as well. I have enough straights that I really don't have to hone for a long time, but some of my razors will need to be honed soon. I maintain the edges of my straights by stropping them on a strop treated with Chromium Oxide. If this treatment doesn't work, then it's time to hone.
    I have a set routine that it's hard to forget.
