The result: excellent overall
I had a 5 day growth of stubble to remove. The synthetic brush did the usual superb job face lathering the Stirling sheep soap. Then I did two passes with the injector razor - one WTG and the second XTG everywhere. The result was DFS-level smoothness.
I did have one bloody nick on my chin. I wasn't surprised since I had been able to feel a slight skin outbreak under my whiskers and rather expected that I would wind up "topping" one or two pimples when I shaved. The alum rub and cold rinse failed to remove the traces, but the styptic pencil sealed it off.
I am back to using a traditional styptic pencil after binning that tube of ProRaso styptic gel that had dried out so quickly. The moistened pencil works equally well and should last for years as long as I don't drop it.
It has been a rather wet and gloomy fall weather here for the last couple days. The Scots Pine scent has been perfect for this time of year. However, I may break out my Stirling Vanilla Espresso Bean soap and splash for my next shaves. We will see...
Hope the week has been treating everyone well so far!
