  11. Thursday October 17 (noon) - Odds and Ends October

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil (traditional anti-acne)

Razor: Parker Adjustable (SE) injector on setting 5 / Supply white label (made by Personna)(6)

    Soap: J M Fraser's Shaving Cream

Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle

    Lather Bowl: None

    Post: rinse, alum, rinse

Last shave: Monday evening - 2.5 days

    The setup:

    IMG_20241010_120357.jpg

Today is my birthday so I did a special shave for it: That's right --- I shaved only TWO DAYS after my last shave!

Otherwise it looked exactly like my recent shaves.

I kept the Parker Adjustable injector at its maximum setting of 5 and did two easy passes WTG and XTG. No irritation noted. Alum was a bit warm overall but no real stinging anywhere and no blood.

I then forgot to use the splash sample -- oh well.

    Overall, a very good shave.

However, when it comes to injector razors, I think that on the whole I still prefer my Supply 2.0 or a Schick "E", "G", or "L" to the Parker Adjustable. I am going to bin the blade, retire the razor back to its box and move on now.

And now off to collect my brother at the airport. He has a conference to attend here tomorrow, so he came in a day early so we could spend some time on my birthday. We last met in person a year or so before the pandemic which will make this a very nice birthday indeed.

Hope everyone has had a good week so far and you are all staying safe and healthy.

Happy Birthday John. Enjoy your time with your brother, always a special thing

lovely shave. Sounds like you are a bit disappointed with the razor, well in comparison with your others anyway.
