I am going to a single social event so I definitely needed to shave my dome, race and neck. Because I had a little over 4 days of dome turf, I went with my Mühle R102 for this session. I picked out my Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen SS because of the masculine scent and excellent lather that it produces. Here's my lather:


I only did 2 passes on my face and neck, but did my usual 3 plus pickups on my dome. It resulted in a very near BBS shave on my face and neck and a cueball smooth shave on the dome. There wasn't any red liquid making an appearance anywhere. I had very little alum feedback throughout my shaved areas.
I splashed on the soothing witch hazel and the fabulous matching aftershave. Take care.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 11137.
Face Lather.
Lather: Tabac Original Shaving soap. (Tallow)
Blade: Gillette London Bridge. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head./Schmidt R10 Handle.

Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Tabac Original ASL./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

It's been a while since I last used the Tabac duo and as always, the performance from the soap & a/s was astounding, a wonderful slick protective lather from the soap with a classic old school scent from this superb old school duo....I have yet to try the new version of the soap, which isn't tallow based. I still have an unopened refill of the old tallow version which will keep me going for quite some time.

From my first use of Tabac products I was instantly hooked by the wonderful slick protective lather it created & old school fragrance.
It's one of those soaps that I could quite happily use with every shave, but that would become tedious and making it a mundane routine for me which traditional wet shaving should never become...I know some people have 'love/hate opinions on Tabac products The scent isn't for everyone which I totally understand, but for me personally the fragrance comes second besides once I do my cold water rinse the scent of the lather has virtually gone anyway with the exception of Tabac and a few others.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

More October Occasional stuff, fun rotating through these I must say

Usual prep and pre shave
MWF, this times scooped into my bowl, rather than loading with the brush from the puck, but still landed up with waaay too much lather
Muhle Rocca 96, previously I had found this somewhat wanting, but today found this most excellent
(The R89 was my first DE razor, this Rocca 96 was my second)
Weighs in at 86 grams, the handle is more grippy than the R89
Derby Premium (2) paired beautifully with the razor, nice audio feedback
Back of the neck taken care of too at the same time
Lovely smooth result all over, 2 passes and some touch ups, smoother than yesterday, still good going in the early evening. whoohoo
No blood, no damage, Alum was silent

Wonderful travel day shave, in Pittsburgh for the Steelers game against the Jets. The Dovo Shavette with the Hair Shaper blade delivered an error and exceptionally close shave. Three passes to shave Nirvana.

Terrific Tabac shave Barry. I happen to like the Tabac scent.

Thanks Chris. To be honest, I didn't stay long. When I arrived, all the tables were fully occupied. There really wasn't anyone there that made me want to stay so I got some desert and ate by myself. Afterwards, I sneaked out and left.

Marvelous MWF shave Chris. I assume you use mirrors to shave your nape.
