A wonderful shave from start to finish. Luxurious lather with a relaxing and calming scent. The razor took 2,5 smooth and gentle passes to get me nearly BBS.

Lacking of an matching Aftershave i used Witch Hazel followed by Aloe Vera Gel.

A 10 out of 10

The Colgate Mug Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A1 Single Edge Razor and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Friday, Nov 10th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP head with a Yaqi Chippendale 316SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining, finish and simple clamping design. One of my favorites in SE razors.
Blade : Kai Captain titian mild (4) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very interesting unique scent that turns my crank with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Moka Express" 26mm synthetic. It sure is a treat when using this one.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer rapier + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus with a Kai CTMP blade.

This Reitzer soap is from South Africa and it’s glycerine based. Although it’s very cheap over there it’s a great performer. It has a really nice old school scent, a few minutes of blooming allows absolutely fantastic lather that has so much slickness, and it leaves a very comfortable postshave feeling. The Prep added lots of cooling, soothing, moisturizing care, and the Booster Mosswood aftershave’s delightful barbershop scent seems to pair very well with the YSL fragrance. These Bic blades were previously unknown to me so I decided to try one. Yesterday I got a great shave with one and today too - three passes did the job for me - smooth as silk with little effort!
