The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #454 two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick C Repeater Razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

DE SOTD, Tuesday, November 12 2024

Razor : Razorock Lupo.72 316 SSP. Mfg 01/2021>, mid range. Excellent machining , finish and design. Great results with this razor. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : GSB (3) sharp and Smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi Black Pearl, nice scented cologne type of lather with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Moka express" 26mm Husky knot. One of my favourite 26mm brushes, just a pleasurable face feel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Black Pearl with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a GSB blade. Just one of those consistently stellar shaves with this shave gear over the last 3 years I seem to receive.

Booster Iced Lime AS Splash

This Dalli Werke stick is from Germany and it’s no longer available. It was discontinued many years ago and it’s unfortunate because it really is a great soap. It has a very nice old school scent, it lathers very well, and it leaves a comfortable postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer is unscented so it’s perfect for sensitive skin, and the Iced Lime aftershave smells so nice. Another awesome three pass BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

I forgot to wish everyone a Happy Veterans Day - I myself am an Israeli army veteran.

Here my Shave of the Day (13.11.2024)


Razor: Karve Brass // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (4) // Soap: Captain Fawcett Scapicchio // Brush: Doriancrafts // Aftershave: Stetson

A very nice shave this has been.

The soap with it´s wonderful scent performed outstanding and tons of glide and cushion, so the Karve could very easily glide to shave off the whiskers.

2,5 passes and the shave was done. Smooth and gentle.

Applied the Stetson which had nor stinging or burn to it. Great.

10 out of 10

A five star shave with the Schick G8 Injector and new Simpson brush (13th wedding anniversary gift from my wife). The Cold River Soap Works “Bay Rum” is always a favorite and the Simpson whipped up a yogurt lather in no time. Just right!
