  6. I am in the same boat Barry. I have enough razors that I am not planning on getting any more razors. Although some of my pucks are dwindling, I have enough soap to last me for a few years. The same holds true for blades. At the moment, the only thing that I would buy would be the drugstore aftershaves such as Aqua Velva, Old Spice and Pinaud-Clubman. I am out of Old Spice and Aqua Velva, but 8 can wait on those.
  7. Nice shave Chris.

  17. I will also occasionally buy a few bottles of Old spice & Brut aftershave from the high street when I'm getting low, or when they are in the sales.

  18. Thanks Barry that is excellent information, some of our supermarkets do stock Brut, but when I see they stock something different I tend to shy away from it. Now I know what to look for. I have read that the original is the best, unlikely to find that any time soon, and probably not worth the dollars

Nice of you to get rid of stuff: no such luck with my two sons, they have no interest in my hobby. Maybe one day after I am gone, who knows?

    Thanks Joe

Gorgeous set up Gary, I like old razors, the older the better, and the black and photo pays homage to that too

Lucky you Joe, I mean about being to nip down to the store and replenish your Aqua Velva. I have not seen it for sale anywhere here, and most places won't ship ASL with alcohol in them. Wonder how the bottle stores get to stay full then. Maybe I should ask to send it by sea instead Lol!

    Thank you Joe
  19. I have read that the original is the best, unlikely to find that any time soon, and probably not worth the dollars...This is the reason why I buy the new version of things. However, it's all down to personal choice, but I think it's sheer greed exploitation what some sellers on e-Bay charge for vintage shaving related assortments that where originally mass produced made so people could afford to purchase them.
  20. A much better shave this morning. The simple reason is that there was no damage of ANY kind, anywhere. (Remember that silly phrase people used to say-"The reason being is that..".?). I had most of the same arsenal as yesterday, but a

Brush-Maggard 24 mm. "Marble Handle" synthetic

which I've always liked. Mike's has slowly become a favorite soap of mine. THE favorite? Too early to call. I added a bit more of the Bill Neumann(1911)and once again got that tingly feeling. All the more skin food. Very happy with this one. As Oustanding As It Gets.
