    Fantastic DG Darkfall shave this morning before my breakfast meet up with Joe, @Trigger. Once again 2 + hours of conversation on a variety of topics, both shave and non shave related.

    The MMOC easily delivered an exceptionally close shave. Perfection for this warmer Fall day. No errors, nothing but positives throughout the entire shave process.

    Hope you all had a great day.

    Marvelous Monday shave Joe. It was a great breakfast meeting of the Long Island Chapter of the 30DC. Our conversations are always grand. I thought that I talked a little too much. But then again, when do I not talk too much. Lol!

    Greetings,

    Early Morning shave.

    As always the monsavon soap provided a luxurious protective slick lather. The monsavon au lait it is my favourite shaving soap to date. It's slick, protective and the post shave feeling it gives is superb, making each shave I've had with it a enjoyable pleasurable experience. Outstandingly good, what more can I say.

    Finishing the shave off with with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Lovely setup Joe, sounds like a successful shave

    Really cool looking JTSpartan brush Joe, you have some nice hardware in your Den

    Grazie Joe

    Another close shave. How do you like the horsehair brushes, soft? prickly? similar to boar?

    2 Days growth

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream, nearing the end
    Cream/Soap = Cyril R Salter
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = White plastic
    Razor = Gillette No 77
    Blade = Vintage Schick (2)
    Passes = 3 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Score = 8 / 10 for enjoyment factor, 9/10 for smoothness
    Damage = 2 minor weepers, quenched with cold water

    The shave felt a bit rough, certainly more aggressive than the No 66. Definitely need to get used the this OC, it might take a few days and a different blade

    My last use of this vintage Schick blade was on 26 Sep, but I doubt that leaving it out that long would make a difference. On that occasion I used it with Fatip Lo Storto OC and thought it quite good

    Let’s see how long it takes to get used to this little razor
    Need to get used to the thin tech handle on this thing, might be a candidate for a different handle

    Have a great Tuesday

    Quite a good shave from the Proraso Foam followed by the Proraaso "Barbe Dure" A.S. The foam came out squiggly in the beginning, but settled down to it's "cloud" appearance before long. No damage. One pass. Nice work from the A.S. No cologne today, as the Pro A.S. smells nice enough to BE cologne. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    it might take a "ride the cap" approach also..:)..and to be honest ,the "66" is hard to match smoothness wise.;)

    Nov 19 SOTM Head and Faceshave

    Good morning.

    Shavette Shave #587
    Dovo
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (18)
    1968 Gillette Slim Adjustable (max)
    Voskhod DE Blade (3)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
    PAA/King R Emporium SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 42.5 hrs
    Dome Turf: 3 days.

    20241119_104859.jpg

    Today, I decided to break out my Dovo shavette and my Gillette Slim Adjustable razors for my face and headshave. Went with the PAA/King R Emporium barbershop soap.
    Three passes on the dome and face gave me an error-free BBS result.
    As you can see below, the soap gave me a wonderful, creamy lather that was super slick.

    20241119_105423.jpg

    Had minimal alum feedback on my neck and nada elsewhere. Splashed on the witch hazel and the glorious Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave to end this session. Take care.

    I am glad that I spoke with you yesterday. I was concerned about your long absence on this thread. You were definitely missed, Danny. Glad you popped in to say hi.
