Today was the back 9 of yesterday's Gillette Foamy&TSD Russian Leather. I got the Foamy thicker by dousing it in the running tap water just prior to. the shave. Came out nice and "cloudy". Perhaps that led to the much improved shave(compared to the past three). No problem at South Porcupine or anywhere else. Big relief. One pass. Fine work with the TSD Russian Leather A.S. Closed out with Halston/Men cologne. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Shavette Shave # 241

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Parker SRX
    Blade: Perma-Sharp
Brush: Brent Jacobson Tamarind and Ebony w/ Paragon 24mm boar
Lather: PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum
    Aftershave: PAA Black Bot
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Fantastic Bay Rum shave this morning. The Parker SRX fitted with the Perma-Sharp blade easily mowed down this morning’s growth. Superb error free shave. I opted for the PAA Black Bot, a musk scented aftershave, to pair with the soap. It worked nicely.

Hope you all have had a great day gentlemen.

Thanks Joe, it lathers up really nicely, very pleased

It is. Mine weighs in at just over 45 grams, it feels heavier in the hand maybe because the handle is quite thick. Minor split near the top of the handle but no worries

    Thanks Gary

    Thanks Joe ;)

    1 Days growth

Same setup as yesterday’s very successful shave and combo, except for one modification: the blade

Today I slipped the Bolzano (2) into the Tech and they both combined really well

    Super easy super smooth shave

I think this little razor performs better than when I last used it many moons ago

Interesting how razors improve with time Lol!

Have a great day and some wonderful shaves

Thank you Chris. My focus with my Parkers throughout the month I've been on roll. Not all of my shaves have been BBS, grant but all have been close comfortable, acceptable & errors free which is what I aim for.

I like the Bolzano blades, I find them very smooth & efficient with good longevity..."I think this little razor performs better than when I last used it many moons ago". Could this be down to your more familiar with the razor and you now know how to get the best from it. You've improved your technique & gained shaving confidence, and accepting the shaving result what the razor can provide. -Regards Barry.

Too right Barry ;) that’s why I jokingly said

Interesting how razors improve with time Lol!

it’s a fact though that using razors that demand more, shall we say mental focus, help with technique overall. I still find myself changing the way I shave in a quest to be more efficient in my approach around the beard map

your focus over the month has served you well, which is a credit to your discipline :happy096: and shows in the results
