Soap : Razorock Blue barber
Brush : Chinese synthetic unknow manufacture.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi slope razor with a Gillette Nacet.

Here is my Christmas Shave (25.12.2024)


Razor: 1910 Gillette ABC // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (13) // Soap: MWF (Vegan Formular) // Brush: W.Eis Bruyere Synthetic // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Annemarie Börlind Aftershave Gel

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time with all your loved ones. Good food, having fun and enjoy the festivities.

This shave has been a celebration. The razor and the brush were Christmas presents i made myself. The brush has been made by a friend of mine who is actually a Pipe Maker. I asked him if he could (and would) do a handle for me with his signature rustication. He was interested so we sat together and talked. This wonderful brush is the result. It is made from Bruyere. Man i love it. I have a pipe from him also with the same rustication which i smoked yesterday. I will post a pic in the Pipe section later this day.

The Brush lathered up the MWF in no time and in fantastic quality. I love MWF. The Razor is so wonderful to look at with it´s „Flower patterns“. Absolutely stunning. This is now my oldest safety razor in my den. It shaved VERY thoroughly but i think you need to be focused, otherwise i have the feeling that this little fella might bite you. But i had no spots, nicks or cuts at the end, so all is fine.

After 2,5 passes i was BBS, applied my Witch Hazel and after that dried down the Aftershave Gel from Annemarie Börlind. A great „Balm“, which is nearly scentless, goes on very easy and has outstanding facefeel. The first minute or two it is quite a bit „sticky“ but than it is a fantastic moisturizer.

Man, that was a wonderful shave.

The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lucky Brand Citrus Mist. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Today I wanted to pull out the Frosted Bay Rum soap and aftershave so I could enjoy that beautiful scent. The soap’s tallow formula promotes such AWESOME lather that’s so slick, the menthol sensation feels heavenly, and the postshave care is perfect. The Prep’s scent goes so well with any bay rum stuff and it’s so soothing, and the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its delightful old school scent that I love so much. Except for a very small nick on my neck because I was a bit careless this was a splendid three pass BBS shave!
