This is one of my two "guaranteed smooth, problem free shave" combinations. The other one is '60 Tech with any sharp razor, but this Superspeed is a little more efficient.
I love all Superspeeds, especially the flare tips. But later versions have a rattling center bar, and the side plates (whatever the proper term) protrude just a tad less, making it easier to scratch yourself with an exposed tab if you're completely careless. This '56 is the pinnacle of Superspeed design, at least to me.

DE SOTD, December 25(Merry Christmas) 2024, Visiting family!

Razor : Yaqi SLOPE torsional slant.
Blade : Nacet (2) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : ARKO stick.
Brush : Chinese synthetic brand unknown. Does the job when on the road!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SLOPE slant with a nacet blade.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Sensitive Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 49 Pro.
Face Lather.
Lather: HWF (No.1) with Cedarwood & Patchouli.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Yintal 9306-I TTO.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Baylis & Harding Black Pepper & Ginseng ASB./Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours EdP.

"Boxing Day Shave"

Everything in my shave set up this morning paired together wonderfully.

My shaving related Christmas presents this year from family & friends where a 100 Amazon Solimo DE blades + 1 bottle of Brut ASL, 3, 30ml bottles of various dupe Scentalis EdT's, 1bottle of Brut Splash-On Lotion,1 bottle of Nivea Men sensitive PSB, 3 sample tubs of Nivea soft moisturiser + a Ikea Kalas Plastic Side Bowl that I'll use as a mixing bowl which will all be featured in my 2025 shave set ups.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Ard Al Zafraan Oud 24 Hours to the pulse points.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

Lucky Brand Citrus Mist

The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Bunny V3 Injector razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lucky Brand Citrus Mist. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Gillette Menthol cream has been here in my house for over 15 years if not longer and it still performs great. It’s either from France or Italy and it has a pretty decent scent, a small dab on both cheeks gives damned good lather, it’s fairly slick, it’s as cold as hell - definitely colder than Proraso Green, and it gives a comfortable postshave feeling although I find the Palmolive creams better in that department. The Nip Man balm has such a nice minty scent and it’s very cooling as well as soothing. Finally the Skin Bracer aftershave and I’m good to go. I’m enjoying my Wilkinson Sword razor a lot these days - it helped to give another brilliant three pass issue free BBS shave!
