    Outstanding 3 pass GLS & MMBT shave this morning. I just love the DG/CL collaboration for this soap and scent. This scent will always have a place in the Northern Den and eventually make its way to the Southern Den. The scent profile is as follows: “This scent is inspired by Gratiot’s trade and features tobacco, leather, rose, clove, nutmeg, sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla, musk, bergamot, and amber.” Perfect for a cold winter’s day, however, I am inclined to use it year round.

    We're still in the late 40's, still '46-'47, but this time with a Gillette Superspeed. This razor was my first replate, and still looks like new after razorplate.com worked their magic. It was a rough beast when I got it. This is the "no-notch" Superspeed.
    I paired this one with a Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum blade in the black wrapper, meaning it was made in India. All of the 7 O'clocks are top blades, but the black wrapper is usually considered the cream of the crop. It's definitely sharp and smooth, which is what really matters.

    I have found a custom shave bowl with a mystery puck in it. Had an imprint still visible on it and I asked on the soap forum about its identity as I had forgotten. Oh yeah, it's Fine Shaving Soap. I just revisited their website and realized I always wanted to try a few other of their items. So, good find overall. And, Fine makes a fine soap, which produces a fine shave. I'm fine with that. Ok, I'm done now. Seriously, it lathered easily and profusely using my Badger/Boar and provided a very nice, slick lather that helped produce a fine finish. Finally. I'm done.

    Spent most of the day shoveling nearly a foot of snow off the driveway etc. Winter hit us. Hopefully you had it better where you are! Have a great evening.
