1. The year is young and I've added two razors so far. A 1959 (E3) Fatboy, which is a birth year, and a 1976 (W4) Black handle Superspeed. Both great looking razors. The Fattie joins an E4 brother, so two birth year Fatboys in the house. Three more on the way.

  2. I haven't added much shave-wise this year so far. I'll have to come back to this thread as I do. I can say I made e Caswell-Massey purchase of Jockey Club,jand-soap, and brought out my Stoylin Deep Saa hand-soap that was waiting until I threw away my latest Caswell-Massey hand-soap. (I think it was Sandalwood).

  7. @NCoxSTL nice acquisitions! BTW, I was also born in 1959.

  8. Well of course. All the best people were born that year. :happy093:

  10. I’ve abandoned every other razor in the stable for my Hinson.

  11. Reasons? Also, what blade(s) are you using?

  12. I shave kind of quickly and haphazardly these days. The Hinson allows me to do so worry free while still giving me a very close shave in 2 passes plus buffing. Ironically, this is allowing me to run all kinds of mediocre to crappy blades through it in order to get rid of them.

  13. Hmmmmm. Might be fun to run a Flying Tiger through it just to see if there's one miracle razor in the world that can make that thing usable.

  14. You will be sorry. The trash bin is the only deserving place for those blades.

  15. I have no doubt you are correct. I don't think they even try to sharpen those things except to rub them against a rough rock.

  16. Hi Friends,

here my two newest additions to my den.

Soap: Grön Lycka (which means Green Luck) from Sweden with the Misty Woodland scent. Imagine if you are walking through a foggy forest, the earth is slightly damp, the sun rises and you smell the resin of a fir. Exactly this is what my nose tells me.

    Brush: RazoRock Hive 24

  17. Only thing I've bought this year is a tub of Noble Otter BarrBarr. Love it. But I have other new soaps to try out that were stored away in a bin that I found while taking inventory of my "stuff". Both are Bib & Tucker. One is Bitter Orange and the other is Cooling Vetyver. I think I'll try the Orange first. I've never used a soap with activated carbon before.
