Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Peerless SE razor and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thanks Barry, I am thinking I might use this on my MWF tomorrow rather than the smaller Pura Setola....

Give it a try Chris...I always try to mix up more lather than what I think I need when using my Omega 48 & 49 with MWF. My best lathering results with it to be honest is when I use my synthetic brushes. However, I like the feel of boars, especially when face/head lathering.

Thanks for your post. Do you like the German Personna Reds? I noticed a difference in the package. I have some Israeli Personna Reds. On them, the pack reads Platinum instead of Stainless Steel.

Here my Shave of the Day (05.02.2025)


Razor: Pearl Flexi // Blade:Gillette Bleue Extra (18) // Soap: Tallow + Steel Boreal // Brush: Doriancrafts // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Wild River Aftershave and Balm

A really relaxed and relaxing shave.

Today with Tallow + Steel…Boreal…an earthy, woodsy scent with notes of Birch and Spruce. Very nice.

It was lathered up with my Doriancrafts Brush which had no problems. Lather for more than 3 passes.

With setting 3 the Flexi could work it´s magic. The razor is so stunning…smoooooth and gentle that it is a pure pleasure to use, even with a blade in it´s (now) 18th use.

2,5 passes later i was smiling and completely BBS. Applied some Witch Hazel, followed by Wild River Splash and Balm. Imagine the scent of adventure and freedom, forest and meadow spreads and leave you happy. Great stuff.

Bielita, the beauty from Belarus…..this cream has a nice scent that’s not really old school - it’s sort of flowery, it lathers like a champ, there’s a mild but pleasant menthol sensation, and it leaves a very comfortable postshave feeling. The Nip Man balm from the UK smells very minty, it’s very cooling as well as very moisturizing and soothing. The Aqua Velva Sport aftershave went on icy cold and I love its scent. The new Wilkinson blade helped to give me an awesome three pass BBS shave that I really enjoyed!
