    Correct thanks Joe, I got my spelling right this time!
    Thanks Gary, been focusing on this easy to use razor whike I have been dialling in the Mitchell's Wool Fat. It's not getting boring, but very user friendly

    Nice combination of woods. I do like the shape on that brush's handle.

    good going Joe, Sounds like a super simple and successful shave with that old straight.

    Hmm, I haven't tried a combined badger/boar, but it sounds like a great recipe

    Thanks Joe :)

    and again Thanks Joe.

    1 Days growth

    Soap = MWFT
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl >> straight to the face
    Razor = No 66
    Blade = Personna (3), still fine but binned anyway
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea Balm
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = The Body Shop Black Musk
    Score = 9.8++++ / 10
    Damage = none

    Superb result from the Fat today. It needed hardly any water
    Bloomed the puck. Soaked the boar in water, only the tips. Usual face prep. Shook brush dry, squeezed it out, and dried it on the the towel. More than 100 swirls on the puck and straight to the wet face. It lathered up beautifully. Added only a small amount of water. Nice and thick and yoghurty for the 1st pass. After rinsing the face after the first pass, there was enough water left on the face to get the MWF super slick and shiny. So, for me the less water the better

    The next time I use the Fat I will try a different brush and see what happens!

    MWF 0 + 0 + 1 +0.5 + 1 + 1
    Sterling 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

    The Fat is catching up…

    Have a great Tuesday

    A winner of a shave today. A minute at the OSP loading dock with the big Stoylin brush. Clean and clear shave most everywhere. I did develop some redness at central Cactus Nation, but it turned out to be harmless, thanks to the cold water rinse and A.S. Tough place for redness, as it was right near the Adams apple. A few more seconds of loaading before the second pass. I do like OSP soap-may get another later(will be a different type,so as to make room for the Master Soap Creations Vintage Spice(when it becomes available at Pasteur's).I have another Spice soap as it is, from Stoylin. Nice finish from P&G "New Spice" A.S. (Well, I should credit P&G for at least giving the origin date of Old Spice on their bottle, 1938.). As for the shave, Super Duper Outstanding.

    Razor - Muhle R41
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (3)
    Soap - El Caballero
    Brush - Jayaruh JR#54

    Third day with this razor and blade and the Vokhod is as smooth as day one. Glad to know I only had the one dud in the pack. I got two full passes and some touch up done without any problems at all. Very nice feel to the razor and blade. The JR#54 did a fine job of getting the El Caballero fired up and ready. I retired the blade after this shave, as I normally do, and I'm letting my mind wander through my collection to see what's next. Have a great Tuesday!

    Fabulous Taylor Eyewitness straight shave this morning. I won this razor in a raffle almost 4 years ago. It is extremely sharp and delivers an exceptional shave.

    The tub of soap now has two small holes showing the bottom of the tub. 24 grams to completion and date with the Edmund Fitzgerald. Target date will be in early March.

    Hope you all have a great day.
