Mine was Bret "Hitman" Hart. There were a lot guys out there but Bret was the man. When McMahon did that screwjob with Shawn Michaels, I stopped watching wrestling altogether.

(I didn't know whether this was supposed to be in sports. If so, I'd appreciate it if a Mod moved the thread. Thanks.)

Rowdy Roddy Piper. I wish his movie career went better than it did. He was pretty good in They Live. I saw him wrestle in person a couple times when I was a kid.

Can't forget Jimmy Superfly Snuka. I wonder if he is hobbled these days? He could fly!

I haven't watched for years, well since they were the draws.

    Richard Blood.

Larry Shreve is a close second.

    Me, too!

"I'm hear to chew bubblegum..." :happy102

I also liked the Von Erichs, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of others (e.g., not my favorite wrestlers, per se, but I loved the "Frankensteiner" by the Steiner Brothers as a finishing move...)

Billy "Superstar" Dundee before I realized it's ok to cheat in wrestling. :D

Once that kicked in, Nature Boy Ric Flair.

My fave was the Ultimate Warrior. After that it was Andre the Giant.

It's been a long time, but when I watch this junk it was "Hacksaw" Jim Dugan. HO!

Why would it? It's not a sport. :rofl

sol92258 I have no earthly idea

    gotta love Hacksaw Jim Duggan
I also liked Jimmy Superfly Snuka
Sting (the surfer dude version; the crow was good for awhile, then they overplayed it)
I always thought Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit were underrated, very technical wrestlers too
Bill Goldberg was fun for awhile too
Stacy Kiebler (oh wait, did I say that out loud?)

haven't watched it in years, but Mondays in college were Nitro Nights, always looked forward to the Nitro Girls getting things started

Hulk Hogan. He was the man when I was a kid.

I met Nikita Koloff when I was in walmart a few years back. Somewhere there's a pic of me holding him in a headlock. :ashamed001

    Well...

I grew up in Texas in the 80's which meant that well...you were a Von Erich fan most of the time. I also liked "Gentleman" Chris Adams.

In the land of the NWA I was a HUGE Ric Flair/Four Horseman fan.

And I dont care what you say...there were alot of marks out there for Hulk Hogan despite what people say now.

Met Ric Flair at a Western Sizzlin' in Arkadelphia, Arkansas...friend of mine was working there at the time while in college, went right over to his table and went "Whoooooo!!"...Ric just looked at him and kinda a grinned, but you know that's happened to him thousands of times before.
I have his autograph on a napkin at home, I might have to take a picture and make it my avatar....

I have three: Harley Race, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, and Ric Flair. The three greatest champions in NWA history.

I was big a Hulk Hogan fan but especially when he'd fight against Ultimate Warrior. I was a fan of anybody fighting against Ric Flair or Mr. Perfect.
