The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #467 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher razor and the J.A. Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Although this Cold Spices soap and aftershave smell very close to the Shulton Old Spice the menthol has a bit of a negative effect on the scent - my Vintage Spice stuff beats it. Truthfully, the only reason I’m using the Cold Spices is because a very dear friend of mine in New York City sent to me as a birthday gift last year. This soap has two good characteristics about - you don’t need to load much and it’s extremely slick but it’s also extremely thirsty. Skincare wise it’s fairly decent but the Vintage Spice to me, is MUCH better. The Lubriderm moisturizer gave me great soothing, and the Cold Spices aftershave went on at first with the beautiful Shulton Old Spice scent but then the menthol started getting in the way. All in all a good three pass BBS shave which I sort of enjoyed.

I think you have Absolute Zero from Captain Nemo - that’s the COLDEST soap on Planet Earth. Or hey, Citrus Melody from MSC - both the soap and aftershave also give a wicked Grand Freeze. Gonna use them this week at some point - for tomorrow it’s Absolute Zero - hee haw!!!!
