This soap has been sitting around under my bathroom sink for years and years so this morning I decided to go with it. Honestly, I don’t remember what the name is or even how I got but there’s a possibility that it could be a tester puck from Stirling when they first started. It still has a nice scent, it lathers very well, and it has a comfortable postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer did a great job afterwards. All in all a really good three pass BBS shave - no complaints whatsoever.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #462 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ming Shi Adjustable razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here my Shave of the Day (26.03.2025)


Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant + // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (23) // Soap: MacDuff Kananaskis Explorer // Brush: RazoRock Hive 24 // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera Gel

A wonderful shave. The razor performed as usual and expected. Very efficient, smooth and gentle. The blade in it´s 23rd use is till very comfortable.

Kananaskis Explorer is a top performa with an OUTSTANDING scent. But maaaaaan, thing soap needs water…Glide and Cushion were exceptional.

My new brush had no problems whipping it up. And it looks SO good.

After 2,5 passes i was BBS, applied some Witch Hazel followed by Aloe Vera Gel to smooth out the shave.

10 out of 10

Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Sticks. (grated)
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D2)
Razor: Parker 24C.
