My sister posted Happy Birthday wishes to me on FB this morning. She said she is glad my story is still being written. It made me tear up a bit, to be honest. I'm 48 years old today. For a long time, I didn't think I would bother to live this long. I suffered severe depression for a LONG time. In y darkest times, even before I ever told anyone what I was going through, I knew there were people who cared about me. I didn't want to hurt them, so I ket going, even when I didn't want to. Even when I was too afraid or ashamed to talk about my struggle I knew I wasn't alone. So I thought it would be fitting to use Never Alone 4 from The Razor Company today. And I used the Parker Open Comb adjustable razor my parents got me for my birthday present.

I hear you brother. I have suffered from depression my entire adult life. I did not know that was what going on. Until I had a full blown melt down 10 years ago. After lots of therapy I now can manage it. Happily there are no drugs involved. Lots of self reflection and prayers.

I'm so glad we are both on a good path to recovery and both have faith and loved ones to help in that recovery. My depression started very young. Around 6 if I remember correctly. I didn't talk to anyone about it until I was 29. And it wasn't till my 40s that I would say I was actually on a real path to recovery.

similar path here,depression started in my early teens until my mid 30's,2 failed marraiges and counselling got me on a better path..

My first shave with my newly acquired Apollo Mikron was excellent. This beautiful razor was complemented by the exquisitely crafted The Novelist Ultima by Ariana And Evans and a brush I made several years ago. The razor is hefty and shaved very well on setting 4. I dialed it up to 6 for a little bit, and it was still a pleasant shave but noticeably more aggressive. I dialed it back to 4 for the rest of the shave. I will probably try it up to 8 next shave, but I have a feeling 4-5 will be the sweet spot for me on this razor. I'm really happy to have finally added this razor to my collection.

My second shave with my Apollo Mikron was every bit as enjoyable as the first. This time I dialed it up to eight for most of the shave. As always Subtle Art Soap Co Draconis Aqua performed flawlessly and I always enjoy a Zenith Boar brush.
