A minute at the Loading Dock for the soap. Clean and clear shave all around, using the badger brush for the first time(it came in yesterday's mail). I was pleasantly surprised, as it felt like a porcupine to the touch, but was softer when applying the soap. No cuts, Knicks, polka-dots. 2 healthy passes. Boy, did I use a lot of the BN Heartwood aftershave! I felt quite the tingle upon application to Cactus Nation(neck), but I've conditioned myself not to worry about that. Very happy . As Outstanding As It Gets.

Vaseline Healthy Bright Soap Bar with Vitamin B3.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: OSP Grapefruit & Menthol Shaving Cream.
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head w/Schmidt R10 Handle.-Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D1)
Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Head/Dome)- Personna Injector PTFE. (D2)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend...

I'm really enjoying my menthol themed shaves. It's a great way to wake up those face & head sensors!

Another great shave with the Yaqi DOC Mellon. The razor head for me is actually quite mild, but I shave with a steep shaving angle, due to the vast majority of my DE razors are Parkers, which perform best with a steep shaving angle. The Yaqi DOC Mellon is also a razor that performs wonderfully with a steeper shaving angle. Another great razor & blade duo.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth cool, and smelling divine.

Lovely shave Barry, it's getting chilly down here, nevertheless when my Bergamot and Lavender is finished I might want to haul out some menthol again. Some mornings I need more waking up than others Lol!

Thank you Chris. Every morning I need more waking up than others.! You are now entering your autumn-winter period in Oz, I imagine after the extreme heat of your summers the cooling down period will feel very chilly. In the UK we don't have the four seasons of weather system anymore, it's more like periods of weather or four seasons in one day. Living on the north-east coast we are normally six weeks behind weather wise, I've seen us have hail and near snow in June, but compared to rest of the UK we are extremely fortunate weather wise compared to other the rest of the UK & world wide...It won't be before long that you are using those menthol shaving assortments.

I find the efficiency of open comb razors are the best for mowing down a heavy beard /head growth.

I know the feeling! Yep for the last week we have had no need of the airconditioning. Last night dropped to a fresh 18C which is just right for sleeping. Have to get the heavy doona out soon enough Lol!

Agreed. It was mowing down the 5 days stubble. Should do that more often, but I enjoy shaving too much.

This blade felt crisp, sharp enough, not the smoothest feeling but that may be from my close shave y’day. Seems to be an older type of blade, the paper wrapper is yellowed and the wax dot was fairly sticky, but overall very happy
