  5. May 1 SOTE Headshave

    Good evening.

    Rockwell 6C (plate 6)
    Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum DE Blade (2)
    L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic Brush
    Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Dome Turf: 7 Days

    Yes, I definitely needed a headshave because it looked like a forest on the dome. Lol! Anyway, went with the 6C because I knew that I had a relatively fresh blade in the razor and it wouldn't have a problem attacking my dense Growth. Two error-free passes plus touch-ups gave me a cueball result. The MCS soap is very hard so it's easier to brush load the soap and headlather than to bowl lather. The scent and the lather was just fantastic. The alum feedback was nada. Splashed on the matching aftershave leaving behind its glorious scent. Take care.

  8. Nice start to the month, Chris!

    Mostly Mish Mash May sounds like a good plan to me!
  9. Great first shaves of the month, gents!

    What I find amusing about your razor, Gary, is that that so-called New Deluxe dates to what? the mid-1920s? So it is now almost a century old and has been out of production for almost as long. And yet, that particular one still looks almost brand-new! So maybe the original marketing name wasn't so far off after all.
  10. awesome Joe:cool::bounce017:

  12. Oh well, that explains it: the production was 1930s not 1920s -- so it's only 90 years old and not a full century. No wonder yours looks like new!
